PS Teas

Laugh.
Love. Tea.

A warm place to start steeping. Honest reviews of loose leaf and teaware from Amazon, plain-English guides to every type of tea, and health claims that name their sources and admit what they do not know.

No sponsored scores. No “miracle” claims. Just the leaf, the numbers and the sources.

Today's small truth

Bitter green tea is almost never the tea's fault. Your water was too hot.

One plant, six answers

Start with a type of tea

Green, white, oolong, black and pu-erh all come from the same shrub. What separates them is what happens in the hours after picking. Herbal is not tea at all, and we say so.

How PS Teas works

Three promises, and one of them is about what we won't say

Scores are published, not vibes
Flavour, aroma, value and brew forgiveness, weighted and shown. Teaware is scored on value and reliability. The weights are on the About page.
Every health claim cites a source
And it is hedged to match the evidence. Where the research is thin — white tea, pu-erh, most of herbal — we say the research is thin.
Affiliate links never move a score
We earn commission from Amazon. The scoring happens first and the link is added after. When something is not worth buying, we say so.

A postscript, once a fortnight

PS Teas is named for the thing you add at the end of a letter because you could not quite leave it unsaid. The Steep Letter is that: one tea worth your time, the numbers that make it work, and what we got wrong first.

Laugh. Love. Tea.

The Steep Letter

One tea worth your time, every fortnight

A single recommendation, the brewing numbers that make it work, and whatever we learned getting it wrong first. No drip sequence, no upsell, no daily nonsense.

We store your email to send the letter and nothing else. See the privacy note.
