Tea too strong?

Here’s some advice for those of you that feel that you are brewing your tea too strong or just not sure of how long to brew your tea for.

The best way is to brew your tea for half the amount of time you normally brew it and then check the taste, making sure to remove the tea bag. If its too light brew some more. Too strong, then make yourself another cup.

Of course this may seem pretty obvious, but most people tend to leave their tea bags in their cup not realizing that the tea is still brewing. Another tea faux pas is when you squeeze the tea bag. Many people do this because of habit, you should not squeeze the tea bag to wring out the water, you should gently let the water drip out for a bit and then remove it, otherwise when you are squeezing the tea bag, you are actually making your cup of tea taste more bitter or stronger.

So go ahead and make yourself a cup and try brewing the tea for less and try not to squeeze.
